Elyse Bartlett joined RefugePoint in February 2016. As Development Associate, she manages RefugePoint’s internal database of contacts and donations, coordinates events, and oversees communications to donors and supporters. She has a strong background in nonprofit development with an emphasis on human rights, having worked with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee for three years designing fundraising programs, managing a national network of volunteers, and designing outreach strategies. Prior to that, Elyse held internships with the Unitarian Universalist Association and Grub Street. She has a degree in Communication Studies from Emerson College and minors in Leadership & Management and Fiction Writing. She has also proudly served as a union steward for her UNITE HERE local, using her professional skills to uphold economic justice within the workplace.
