Bol and Kuach are 12- and 6-year old orphaned brothers from south Sudan. The boys? family was lost during an attack on their village in Sudan about six years ago. Bol and Kuach had been living under the care of various relatives since they fled attacks in Sudan and sought refuge at a camp in Kenya. The boys remained there until local tribesmen began mounting raids against the refugees. Scared for their safety, the boys fled again, this time to the slums of a major city. RefugePoint found the boys, made sure they were safe, and provided them with medicine, food, and counseling. Later, the boys reunited with their grandmother in San Diego, who they hadn’t seen in years.
