Communications Interns (4 positions)

LOCATION: RefugePoint’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts

TERM: A minimum of three months for a minimum of sixteen hours per week.

About RefugePoint

RefugePoint was founded to find lasting solutions for the most vulnerable refugees in Africa. We are most concerned about the individuals who have fallen through the net of humanitarian assistance and are most at risk. These individuals include vulnerable children, women, and people in imminent danger. To this end, RefugePoint pursues a combination of programming that saves lives and continually strives to influence governments to improve the humanitarian systems designed to support refugees worldwide.

Responsibilities 

As a communications intern, you will support RefugePoint’s communication activities, including but not limited to researching material for publications, monitoring and evaluating media reports, managing social media platforms and designing creative content for campaigns.

Qualifications

  • A strong interest in the mission of RefugePoint and refugee affairs.
  • Students working towards a degree in a related field (humanitarian affairs, political science, communications, marketing, etc)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  (English proficiency required)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Applicants with design skills are encouraged to apply (photography, film, illustration etc).
  • A sense of humor, patience and diplomacy.
