Lonah rejoined RefugePoint in March 2015 as the Senior Social Worker. In her current role as the Social Work & Child Protection Program Manager, she does child protection training and social work management in Nairobi. Most recently, she worked as a Child Protection Specialist with Save the Children in Dadaab Refugee Camp. Lonah has a wealth of experience in child protection, counseling and social work. Lonah first joined RefugePoint as a social worker in 2009, progressed to counseling in 2012 and went on to develop her career in 2013. She is also a seasoned private practice counselor. Among other achievements, Lonah built a school in East Pokot to support the vulnerable children of Kenya. Lonah holds an MA in Child Development from Daystar University and is a certified family and marriage therapy counselor.
